I've been using 1 tbsp of organic ACV per gallon of water everytime I change the water. Am I using the ACV too often or is this okay? I've been reading that some people are only using it once or twice a week and some other are using more often.

Whats the general consensus on how often ACV should be used? Thanks.

I was wondering about both the vitamins and the acv. Is there a particular flavor or unflavored of the vitamins that I should get? How much do you add to the gal of water? Thanks for the info!

ACV rocks! Use 2 tablespoons per gallon every day, this will help your birds absorb calcium, promote good gut flora and keep their waterers relatively free of algae. Oh, and you get beautifully shiny birds!! There are alot more bennies to ACV but there are great threads on byc about those. You can also make a tonic and drink it yourself.

So does it have to have the "mother" in it? I just got a big jug of it from Aldi's, is this one ok? Sorry to hijack, thought it was along the same lines. I have not tried using it yet. Mine are 13 weeks old.

ACV - I buy the Bragg's brand, you can get it at GNC in the mall, it is $5.95 for a quart. I put about 3 tablespoons in a 4 gallon waterer every day for my chickens.

It does keep the waterers much cleaner. It is the vinegar with the " mother" in it.

Regular Apple Cider Vinegar would be better than nothing, but the best is the one with the "mother".
