how old are my chickens

ive recently bought 2 point of lay r i reds ive had them for a week now..ive had no eggs yet. so how long could i be waiting for.? and how can you tell the age of chickens? because 1 chicken looks older then the other..may be..i think..

They might be stressed from the transition, which would make them not lay for a week or more. Perhaps you just need to give them some time.

Point of lay means that they are around the 18-22 week mark. This means that they will be laying soon, they just need to settle in.
