How old can chickens get?

I saw an ad in local swap or sell for geriatric chickens. I understand they will stop laying as frequently after a while. But it raises the question, what is old for a chicken?

I was talking to a local organic farmer recently who has what looks to be about a hundred hens. She does not cull, and has one that is 15 years old and a small handful in the 10-15 range.
