what age can i take the lamp off my chicks?
they are 5 weeks old mostly feathered .. except 1 it is a frizzle cochin..
and they are inside the house that is 70 ohh and they all are banties

Have you been raising it up a bit every week? You're s'posed to lower the temp about five degrees every week.

Try turning it off for awhile. If they huddle all together like they're cold, you might need to turn it back on for awhile.
