How old does a rooster need to be?

I was wondering how old does a rooster need to be to be fertile? I want to incubate some of my hens eggs. My buff oprington cockeral is 6.5 months old.

at 5 months mine acted like they were ready but by 6 they were definitely ready! go for it!
