How old is this Peacock.

We moved into our current neighborhood 5 years ago in June - this lovely male has been around since then, he comes in our back yard and will sometimes display for us.

We are curious if anyone can tell us how old he is and how long he might live.

We do know that at one time a neighbor raised them but when they moved the released several, as far as we know he is the only one that is left from the flock.

There is really no way of judging his age visually, some experts can get you in the ball park. As for life span, my personal observations are: Indian Blue Roosters usually start to show their age in their legs and toes around 20'ish, hens much less. Ive heard of others reaching the 30yr mark but personally I did not witness it. Some will say they live for 75+ yrs but I am skeptical about that. I hope this helps and he is a stunner,
