Here's a link for more information on Grow-Gel Plus. I don't think the original had probiotics in it. That's a nice addition, to seed their digestive tract with some of the good bacteria they need.

As it appears to be a multi vit type substance its fine to use now. I use a multi vit powder that goes into the drinking water with chicks from the first day of eating and drinking.
