I know they have to be like 3 months before I have them live outside but how old should they be before I let them run around a little or enjoy the outside?

My chicks are about 2.5-3 weeks old and when it gets nice and warm (65 in the shade at least) we let them out in the yard for a half hour or so. When they start to bundle up together, take them inside!

We are taking our RIR's outside when it is 65 (or higher) and sunny and letting them play and scratch around some.

I don't miss those days! I have had some broodys and my chicks have been outside from the moment they hatched. They should be feathered out if they don't have a mama to keep them warm. And like the AnastasiaY says if they start to huddle bring them in. Have fun with them!
