ours are 2 months old (born 1st april) and are fully feathered but still quite small compared to our other hens. what age can they leave their mother? i dont think they are old enough yet but as we have people we know who are wanting some pullets they want to know a rough guestimate.
thanks for any help!
they are rhode islands and silver laced wyandottes.
they are adorable!

thanks

Is mother still raising them, as in does she still show interest in them, or does she ignore them, going about her business, if she's ignoring them, then she's decided that they're old enough and don't need her anymore.

she still calls them for food so i guess they still need her....i got my first three at about three and a half months old so maybe ill wait the same for these guys. thanks!

must be a real devoted momma to make it to 8 weeks, usually it's 6, one of our mommas gave her chick the boot after 4 weeks.

must be cute, we'd all love to see pics!
