We are new to ducklings and have 4 pekin ducklings and 5 rouwen duckings. They are growing at an amazing rate and although I am trying to do things to give them more space, I am wondering how old they are before they are fully feathered. They are starting to get their feathers now and are 22 days old. The temps have dropped here in Iowa and we are getting down to the 30's for temps at night. I am debating at what point I start to panic because I didn't realize how fast they would grow. And when they are fully feathered how warm does it have to be before they can be outside in their coop. Just hoping that the weather warms soon and glad that our chicks don't arrive until May 18th. After the ducklings I should be a lot more prepared for the chicks. Thanks for any advice or input.

Usually around 8 weeks give or take. As for night time temps... If there is no heat lamp I would not put them out of it gets in the low 40's or lower till they are more around 10 weeks. That is me personally. Some people do it sooner but I don't feel comfortable doing that.
