How old?

I got these 2 buff orpington girls today from a lady who, I think, said they are 6 months old. I'm thinking that can't be right; they seem a lot younger. They're still making peeping noises, although it might just be the breed?

How old would you say they are? (The bowls in the crate are my good cereal bowls, for size.)

Funny you say that. I was just today wondering when they go from peeps to clucks...

After the peep stage the next one is the pullet stage. This stage in my honest opinion lasts until they have completed their first adult molt. Say 18 months, give or take.
