How on earth do you walk ...tear, pull, drag.. yourself away?

I have successfully hatched ONE chick from my Faverolle eggs ..been watching that incubator all night long, nearly ..and now, I am watching the brooder just as diligently!

How do y'all pull yourselves away? I have housework to do and meals to cook and errands to run and...

Between hangin' out with my chickens ..just observing their whole heirarchy and behaviours, and babysitting the incubator and now the brooder ....I am sadly neglecting chores and folks and critters..

I am finding I am having a much harder time walking away from these 4 that hatched yesterday than I even did with the chicks we got last month. It is sooooo hard but we MUST step away and take care of everything else...........We MUST........hmmm still working on it

Go to Radio Shack and buy a video camera... hook it up to the bator and to a small (very small) TV. Then, carry the TV around with you everywhere and you can still watch!!
