How should a hen’s abdomen feel like?

I decided to do a check-up today and I was wondering what the abdomen should feel like? Is it supposed to be firm when you gently push it?

Do you have a bird acting sick?
How old are your birds?
I just compare to other birds, once you feel a swollen abdomen, it's hard to miss.
Just takes practice and experience.
