How should newly hatch chicks act in the first 24 hours

How should a newly hatched chick act/behave
I got a 16 hour old chick which sits up for two seconds then falls asleep and lies down eyes shut but breaths fine then repeats has had a drink very wobbly very loud is this normal ?!?
I’m new to hatching chicks please help

Was he dried off when you put him in the brooder? Or did you put him in after he hatched?They should be wobbly and learning to walk the first day.

He is dry to touch and fluffy in some areas not wet or damp anywhere he was put into the brooder when he was dry to touch since my incubator isn’t practical for him to stay in he is wobbly but to me seems very tired like I say above is he acting normal though?

New born chick's are pretty wobbly when they hatch. They'll also peep quite a bit but mostly lay down. He should be okay.
