I'm going to be selecting eggs for the Easter Hatch tonight and I'm pondering whether or not to include the eggs from my new new layers, which are averaging around 44-46g (as opposed to the adult ladies' eggs which run 55-65g).

Splash and Ember have been laying for about a month and their eggs are steadily increasing.

I know that it's not ideal to hatch pullet eggs, but I'm particularly wanting eggs from Rameses x these granddaughters before I cull Rameses for bad behavior (see thread here).

Should I try a couple of these eggs?

Is there any particular risk involved in having chicks hatched from these smaller eggs?
