Hi everyone. Does any one know how soon you can do a float test? We are on our second atempt at trying to hatch Emu eggs. It is day 24 and my four eggs sank.

I'm on day 35. One egg sank. 3 bobbed away in the water. I didn't see any movement from any of the 4. Not that my input helps

I have never done a float test. Mine have all wiggled when set on a flat surface around day 38 or so.

yeah, wait until day 38-42 and take the eggs out of the bator..tap on them a bit and whistle..then sit the eggs down on a table..watch for any movement. you should see some rocking....at about day 48 or so you should be able to pick up the egg and feel it move, and put it to your ear and hear chirping inside too.

Good luck
Dan
