How soon do Jumbo Cornish X Rocks start laying?

I went out to check on my chicks in the coop, and our Cornish chicks are looking quite fat already! I noticed in the back that they had a bulge. I went and picked one up and it feels like they already have an egg brewing. Is it possibly for them to start growing their first egg so young? I am guessing they are about 3-4 weeks old. TIA!! I am really needing answers before something happens to them! I appreciate your responses

No. Even in a laying hen, you'll not likely feel an egg, unless you are getting up close and personal, and the egg is just about ready to be laid.

What is the harden part I felt when I picked the chick up? Is it something I should be concerned about?

This is one of our chicks. It is right where the bulge under the butt is, that I felt the harder part where the tip felt like an egg. What could that be instead?
