How to bring change?

I currently live in a place that doesn't allow very many chickens in its ordinance. My question put as simple as possible I guess would be how can I work to get this ordinance changed?

Try Googling "Chickens in XXX" (XXX= your city or county) to see if there are any movements already underway to change the laws. There may already be pending legislation or an organized group trying to get legislation passed. If not, reach out to your local council person and ask them to sponsor a bill to change it.
