How to calm crazy turkeys?

Just bought some adult turkeys and they are crazy. My friends turkeys are friendly like dogs and want people to pet them and follow people around. How can I calm them down?

Time, and bonding. They are incredibly social and will take to you after some bonding time

I look at it like I do with a rescue parrot. Spend time in site of them so they can see you are not a threat. Trying just being around them doing what the things you need to do. Do not force yourself on them. This may take a few weeks or more depending on how long you are home or around them.

I've been through this. I just took a lawn chair & sat out there with them. Try tossing them a few treats. After about three days they should be eating out of your hand. Mine did. What breed are they. How many did you get?
