When one of my silkies goes broody how do I choose what eggs to put under her to let her hatch? I want to hatch some eggs from my full size birds flock. I have a roo with 6 girls. how do I choose eggs to hatch?

do I just hope roo roo has done his job? do I need to candle them? I dont have a clue like I said. I do not have a broody right now. My silkie is playing mamma right now. I am just thinking about when she does go broody.
