how to choose?

When one of my silkies goes broody how do I choose what eggs to put under her to let her hatch? I want to hatch some eggs from my full size birds flock. I have a roo with 6 girls. how do I choose eggs to hatch?

Do you know which hen lays which egg?

Chose the breed that you like the most, or the hen that lays the most eggs and put those under the broody.

do I just hope roo roo has done his job? do I need to candle them? I dont have a clue like I said. I do not have a broody right now. My silkie is playing mamma right now. I am just thinking about when she does go broody.
