Okay. So I was wondering if y’all have any tips on how to convince my family for more chicks. I have 28 in the incubator to sell. My people said I abesouloutly can not keep ANY of them. They are mixed breed. (Also) Any tips on how to sell? ) I am the sole caretaker of my flock.I pay for my chicken feed, and I take care of them completely water, food, vet, everything. We have plenty of space I just don’t understand why they won’t let me get more.

Who pays the mortgage/rent?
The utility bills?
Puts food on the table and runs the household?
Whoever that is has finally say for all goings on in that household.

And you already have quite a lot.

Someday, when you have your own household it will be YOU calling all the shots and you can do whatever you like within the confines of the laws that govern the property. No matter where you go, you have to abide by the rules. That's just life!

Love what you already have!

Have you tried talking to your family about why they don't want more chickens? I don't want to assume, but you sound young. It may be that they feel you are about to go through major life changes in the next few years that will impact your ability to care for your birds in the way you are able to now. Maybe they don't want to have to take on the responsibilities if you are unable to because of school or moving out or whatever. Maybe they are concerned more birds will mean more noise or smell. Maybe they have plans for the space more chickens would take up. Maybe they are concerned about your ability to afford additional birds.

Whatever the reason, we certainly aren't going to be able to offer useful advice if you don't know why they don't want you to have more chickens.
