How to cut foam From Ice chest??

I just got a foam ice chest and it is a Thick one too. I want to make my own incubator. My egg tray and turner won't fit so I need to melt back or cut the foam back a little on the walls. Any idea on how I can cut or melt away the foam?? I really want to make this work. PLZ HELP!!!!!

Magic Markers will melt it (slowly) if you have the time. Betcha didn't know that.

a very sharp knife works great.

A guitar string or piano wire heated with a bic lighter or small torch does great too! Learned that when I was cutting foam for model railroad scenery.

Chainsaw would work wonders.

No seriously, I'd go with an exacto knife, slightly heated blade.

an electric knife or whatever the reciprocating knives are called (what my dad used to cut pot roast with when I was a kid)
