I bought chicks with a plan to eventually hatch more chicks from them when they grew up and started laying/breeding/brooding.
I wanted colorful eggs so I got a variety of different fancy breeds but could only get them straight run.
To give my little daughter some practice I also bought 6 brown egg layer pullets. 4 Colombian Rocks and 2 Rhode Island Reds.
Now I have what looks to be 7 pullets and 4 cockerals from the straight run fancy chicks.
And one of my Colombian Rocks is definitely a cockeral.
So what it breaks down too is
Rooster
-Black Copper Maran(1)
-Black Copper Maran(2)
-Easter Egger(3)
-Easter Egger(4)
-Colombian Rock(5)

Hen
-Black Copper Maran(1)
-Black Copper Maran(2)
-Ameruacana(3)
-Ameruacana(4)
-Easter Egger(5)
-Easter Egger(6)
-Easter Egger(7)
-Colombian Rock(8)
-Colombian Rock(9)
-Colombian Rock(10)
-Rhode Island Red(11)
-Rhode Island Red(12)

I also have a BIL who has a few Rhode Island Red hens that he will give me when he buys new layers to replace them.
I can post pictures later but right now I only have a couple recent pictures and the chicks are all only 3-6 weeks old so I am sure there looks will still change a lot.
