how to do a swap at my farm ??? small animal swap any laws or idea's

hi everyone looking for info on how to start a small animal auction or swap in michigan live in area where there is none around what s the laws or any ideas

Does your County or City ordinances allow chickens or other livestock. I don't really know about Michigan even though I was born there. I live in Florida. All you need is the space. We used to have swaps at our farm but now we have teamed up with the local Tractor Supply Companies in the area and hold our swaps there. I originally went to a store manager and asked if he would consider letting us hold a swap. We have had such great turnouts, that a couple of others stores have asked us to hold swaps at their stores. Many people who attend the swaps buy supplies for there newly acquired birds if they aren't already set up. Usually the stores order more feed and other products when we have our swaps. Currently we have three stores in our area where we hold swaps. We advertise in the local paper, Craigslist, ocala4sale, Gainsville4sale, USFreeads, and the stores hand out fliers to all of the customers. All the places we advertise are free services.
