So I FINALLY have started tracking how much of EVERYTHING we are using and it would seem FEED is a biggy! Not only for the chickens, but the horses as well. It would seem that buying in bulk is the better option here, but now, how do I go about it? How does one find a local feed mill? Does anyone know of any here in the Houston-ish area? Currently, we use MG feed, but I would be willing to make a change to anything comparable in the interest of saving money and time...

My local one did not advertise too well, or I should say at all. I asked the high school FFA (future farmers of america). Check with a nearby farmer that has animals but not silos of their own.

Go to google and click on maps, zoom into your area and search feed mill. That should bring up the closest listed ones.
