my chickens live in a coop with an attached run, I will attach a photo below, my three silkies are little devils and love to scratch the grass, but the grass is slowly disappearing and becoming horrible smelly mud, I originally thought it was smelly because obviously that's where they go to the toilet, and I'm trying to scrape away the muck and keep it clean, but it won't sole the disappearing grad issue. What can I put down there?

I know some people have put various things down, including mulch, sand, hay, grass clippings, or shavings. How many birds do you have and how big is the run? Maybe it is overcrowded. Or if it completely covered, trying uncovering it so that it can get sun and dry out. Dry poop doesn't smell near as bad as wet poop! Perhaps you need better drainage as well.

Only have three silkie bantams in their
700

It (the run portion) still looks small (to me) if they are in there 24/7. Then again I like to give my animals as much room as I possibly can. However, it does look small enough to put handles and wheels on and relocate every few days or week. That will keep the ground fresh and be stimulating for the birds.

The coop size looks fine for just 3 little silkies.

You could move it on to fresh grass every week, that'll keep the silkies happy and the grass healthy. Otherwise, covering the floor with a construction sand will provide good drainage and keep the smell down.
Whatever you do... Do NOT lay down wood shavings, straw or hay! It molds very quickly and could cause foot problems. Plus it stinks if you don't change it regularly.

The best ways to go are the wheels or the sand.
