Hubby built a great wood incubator. He lined it with insulation. We didn't put any kind of clear coating on it b/c we were running a little short on time. At the moment, we're only using it as a hatcher. But I've noticed that in just the few days of lockdown, the lid keeps growing mold on it. I bleached it really well in between the two hatches, but it grew back again. I'd really like to use it as an incubator because it holds temps and humidity really really well. What can I use as a clear coat that won't reek of fumes during the incubation? Would a water based polyurethane work?
