How to get more people to get chickens

All we have to do is get a law passed that if you don't own chickens you have to pay a tax. Do you think that would work ?

Ummmmm..... OK.........I could go so many places with this........ The way things are going it would be a tax who has them....... Sorry we have to take a third of your flock and give it to the lazy I mean less fortunate.

And goven't would stop policing the small farms so people could actuallly turely buy local. Eggs would be treasures that only chicken people and the wealthy could afford.

City councils would encourage each home to have a coop. You local processor would be as common as bakeries. Genetic manipulation for food cereals and food animals would be outlawed.

Utopia? Probly not.
But this is a fantasy we are growing here, right?
 
Truly, I am thinking about doing some pallet coops and getting a stock set up for next year's farmers market .... I am testing a new layer mix and if they work out I will hatch a bunch and sell them with the coops (buy a coop and a chick and I throw in two free chicks)

I figure just the chicks should bring them in.....
