How to get rid of flies and roaches

Recently, there has been THOUSANDS (it seems like) of flies in my chicken's coop. They stay in there all day, breed, lay eggs, repopulate. Whats the safest and most effective way I can get rid of them? I've also noticed a few roaches here lately. Please help!

I would use food grade Diatamaceous Earth for the roaches. Just sprinkle it all around the coop and run. It is safe for the chickens so long as you have plenty of water out for them. As for the flies the best thing I have found are these fly traps:

They stink to high heaven but the sure do work!
