I have an RIR rooster I desperately need gone. I had someone from 4h lined up but she stopped responding to my emails. Where do I advertise him? I want him to go to a good home but at the same time he needs to go asap

If you need him gone ASAP, I'd not worry about him "going to a good home". It's best not to ask questions or make demands of a potential taker because more than likely, he's going to go to a soup pot. Advertise on Craigslist, at your local feed store or in your local paper, or local rummage sale site. I would offer him for free if you need him gone soon.

I agree with bobbi-j and aart. Apparently your rooster is mean. Think about why you don't want him. For those exact same reasons, other people wouldn't want him either, and it actually makes me glad the 4-H kid turned him down because I sure wouldn't want anyone to get hurt, especially not a child.

If you really don't want him, offer him for free, or just a couple of dollars. Don't worry about someone else putting him in the stew pot. There are SO MANY roosters out there who are *NOT* mean. If someone is going to keep a rooster they are better off keeping one of those; if someone is going to eat one, the best kind are the mean ones.

ok. i meant I have someone (who i actually got him from) that was going to take him to breed. she works with 4h kids, but this rooster would solely be for breeding and wouldn't go to someone who would show him or anything. he isn't aggressive towards humans, only towards some of my other chickens.

If he is inappropriately aggressive towards your chickens, he should NEVER be used as a breeder. Mean begets mean. This IMO is exactly why RIR are known for a mean temperament. They have been bred based on looks with little attention paid to temperament. A bird should never be used as a breeder if his temperament is not appropriate. Can you describe his behavior????
