How to give hens cooked treats

How do I give my hens (just got them) treats in the coop?just throw them in? Thanks.

That's what I do with leftovers - just don't overfeed them with treats apart from their regular chicken feed.
 
Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Grains and stuff usually just toss in. If you are talking actually inside the coop, you might want to put things they won't eat totally or stuff that is wet/sticky in a bowl etc so they don't make a mess / mix it with the bedding. If they don't eat the treats (if they don't know them, it takes some chickens awhile to eat new things) mixing some in with their regular food sometimes helps.
