How to give oyster shell.

How do you give oyster shell? In a feeder? In a bowl in the coop? Mixed in with food?

I just put it in a little dish.

I put some out in a little dish as well but I've read some people mix it into the food or scratch.

I sprinkle it on the ground around their feeder.

how much does everyone take?
I fill the dish about twice a week. Probably like a cup in total per week. 5 birds

I made a feeder out of 3"pvc with a y at the end, pointed up of course that they eat the oyster shell out of. I only have to refill it about once a month.

We give them as much oyster shell as they want, we just put it in a dish and keep filling it when it gets low
