Hello! A friend of mine asked if she could incubate and hatch some of my eggs. I have 5 girls and one roo and I am assuming this means I have fertile eggs. Please correct me if this is wrong. She lives quite some way from me and I'll be meeting up with her one day this week. I've never done this before and I'm wondering if there is something special I need to do i.e. don't wash them, keep them warm etc? Thanks!!

sounds fine to me.
don't wash them. store in a cool place...not the fridge. i store mine in the garage. store pointy end down and travel gently.

hope you get good results.

Don't wash them because they have a protective "bloom" that will keep them fresh while they are incubated. Try to choose the best shaped eggs, no round or odd shaped ones, no dirty eggs, place them in a egg carton with pointy side down, and keep them as close as you can to 60 degrees. Put something under the end of the egg carton and change it from end to end 3 times a day to rotate them. Do not refrigerate them.
