How to help hens lay after attack?

About a month ago we experienced a predator attack (we suspect either a hawk or raccoon) and lost one of our hens. I found the other three hiding, luckily unharmed but clearly scared. Since then, they haven’t been laying much (we get around 2-3 eggs per week in total) and those eggs that are later are really small. I was wondering how to help them recover from the trauma they experienced and hopefully start laying again soon. Thanks!
Also will it help to introduce new chicks into our flock?

The shock probably triggered their winter break, they forgot about the attack fairly quickly.

The combination of shortened daylight period and the attack have caused a break in their laying cycles. They will start laying once the daylight period increases.

Okay, I’ll go do that. We live in California so winter isn’t that cold and most of the time our hens lay through it. From what I can tell from the other posts, it seems like this is just a shock induced laying break.
We have a 7 year old hen (who still laid before the incident), a year old, and a 2 year old. They all free range.
