how to help my chicken go broody

Could you relay that to my Silkies in a way they can understand? My broody breaker rarely gets a break and today is no exception!

They're plenty young yet to go broody. Why don't you wait until spring and see what happens? Or, if you want to hatch on your schedule and not theirs, you may want to look into getting an incubator. If you live where the winters get cold, though, you may be better off not hatching now. It's not a good idea to heat with a heat lamp all winter. There are stories on here about people who have lost their coops and all their chickens due to fire caused by heat lamps.
