hello I am hatching six duckling, 3 are noisy and I can clearly see they want to get out so I'm leaving them. 2 have only internally pipped but I candled them and they are perfectly fine! The final egg has not pipped so I candelled it and saw no movement. I took it out and listened but no noise. So I pipped at the air sack slightly and shon a light in to see it has not broken into the air bubble at all but is very alive, I saw movement:) I've covered the hole with cleanfilm (thin plastic) so it doesn't dry up and misted the egg. We are on day 30 so my ducklings are very slow. At this point that one should have broken through!! So what is happening and how can I help the little guy? Is he going to die? Oh and he's not even in position to hatch I'm worried!!

Was there blood when you picked at the egg? Are you sure that the duckling has absorbed the blood vessels and yolk sac? I had chicken chicks not do that until day 27-28.

No blood but it hasn't broken through the inner membrane yet.... Worrying but I'll leave it be for now
