How To? Home Hen Health Check

Not sure if this should be here or in the diseases thread, But..

I'm thinking about giving the Hens a quick check over, look for any bugs/parasites/ouchies etc, and was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what to look for.

I've had them for about 6weeks, and want to make sure their nice and healthy.

I think you described exactly what you should do.

Check the feet for bumble foot, or other problems, check the legs for scaley leg mites,
Check the vent, under the wings, the comb, the nose (openings in beak), feel the crop- make certain it doesn't feel impacted.

Hate to sound dumb, but can someone give me a more thorough description of how it should/shouldnt look/feel
