How to? Ideas for foraging 24 hens safely (can't free range)

A trampoline that is 12 ft. across has 113.04 sq. ft.. under it. If you went to craigslist and got a couple of used ones you could run 12 hens under each at 9.42 sq. ft. each. Close enough to the recommended 10 sq., ft. per bird in an outside run not to mater.

Also a nice easy design. I liked the large pvc pipes on the one I linked as it would make moving it easier. I do agree it would be to small for 24 hens. I think with some planning it could be made wider though.

Ya I do agree with you there as you could easyily put pvc pip on the base of this one as it is designed bigger for more hens as you could easily change out the 4x4s for large pvc pipes

Or you could put in a tunnel through the one you linked and build two of those and just put a tunnel between both of them and just push them for more fresh grass or shade

Thanks for all of the links and ideas!
Thinking we might build 2 lower to the ground hoop-style tractors so we retain strength, stability and move-ability and push them together to make one unit when in use. Will have to post some pics when we have a completed project to show!
