hi im thinking of incubating acouple silkie eggs but i cant have any more chickens after this and i dont want my silkies going brooy how do you keep a silkie from going broody besides collecting eggs thanks for your time

They just decide when they’re going to go broody. You can dunk them in water or seperate them from the flock. But start with just taking her off the nest several times a day and see if that works. Wear gloves.

When one of my silkie hens goes broody, I take her off the nestbox and plop her outside for the day. If it is night, I let her stay in it. But if it is day but with bad weather, I take her out and put her down on the floor, where she lays there like a fluffy pancake glaring... :lau

Why do you even have Silkies, if you don't want broody birds? That's the main purpose for having a Silkie. For eggs, other breeds would be better, in my opinion.
