Its that time again for me when I am soon going to have ducklings. My last brooder was a mess. I need help with cant change the bedding everyday cause that would be crazy expensive. So how should I make my brooder so that it can be efficient and less dirty. I am looking to get 8 ducks. Also, What bedding should I use. Thank you for helping.

For the first two weeks, I used old towels. I changed them a few times a day, and it was as easy as shaking them out in my garden, and running a load in the washer once a day. After that, I used pine shavings. Since the brooder was in my house, I changed the shavings every other day. At $6 a bag, it wasn't very expensive. One bag lasted me about two weeks. After they were 4 weeks old, they were moved to a brooder in my outdoor shed, and I changed the pine less often.
