How to keep the poultry off the barn fan

I've had a fan in their outdoor enclosed space on a table all this time and haven't seen a single bird try to get on that fan. Moved them into the coop today and one of the first things I've of my birds did was get on top of the roaring barn fan. How do I keep them off without impeding airflow or my ability to open and close the window?

I have a fan outside the coop blowing through the wire window. It doesn’t blow directly onto them but onto the wall so keeps air flowing.
😩 Hubby says no to an air con unit 😫
😉 but I’m working on him 😊

Honestly, if it wasn't such a hazard, I would do an ac unit. I just hate the idea of the birds being locked into a wooden building with a fire hazard.

Very strange fan location...wonders about efficacy and hazard potential.
We have a ridge vent and the ventilation intakes above and I did not want to interrupt the flow of that. The fan pulls fresh air in from the open window and blows across a part of the low roost and the floor. We are in the 100s temperature wise here and the birds are in coop training, so I need ways for them to keep cool that don't involve adding a lot of humidity to the space. The fan is an enclosed motor barn fan that is literally designed to be hosed off.
