How do you keep your eggs the required temps until your ready to put into the incubators? I want to hold on a few days to my eggs but I have no basement or rooms cool enough per temp requirement!! Has anyone built a cooling device to keep your eggs cool and turned until set...Be interested to hear from everyone on the subject!!! Thanks and have a great hatch!!!

I'll give this a bump -- I'm interested too.

I had some in the dining room and our house isn't air conditioned. I later broke one open as it had aged and been replaced by a fresher/newer on, and it had started to develop.

Now I do have them stored in a room that is air conditioned and they seem to be holding pretty well. The temp there is 78. Another concern will be holding humidity.

Hope loads of good answers will roll in for your question.

I store mine in a egg carton on the kitchen island at room temperature of 70 degrees. I turn them every couple of days. Most of the time I only gather for 7 days before they go in the incubator.

During the summer is the worst with the high temps. and high Humidity outside....We try to keep the inside around 77-78 it's the humidity that's harder to control I thought chicks started to form at around 75 degrees is this right? You can tell I'm new to keeping and hatching eggs!!

I put mine in an egg carton and set them on the kitchen counter. We keep our house fairly cool - around 72 degrees during the summer. So they do well at that temperature.
