First off would just like to say hello to everyone. First time posting
Alright so I'm almost done makin my homemade incuabtor out of a old fridge just got to do some wiring and test it. Anyways since I'm almost done with the incubator I've been brainstorming some ideas on how to make some egg turners so I dont have to open the door 3 times a day and take a risk of cooling the eggs to much. Anybody every made their own egg turners? If ya have would ya mind sharing how ya made em?
Any help would be apperciated.

Thanks,
Luke

Try doing a spinning turner; like this:

A motor or a hand can turn the spindle through a hole in the fridge, then all the eggs in the little circles will roll and be turned.

PERSONALLY, I think the egg-turner in the "link" provided by triggerJay is an excellent way to go.

Certainly, there are other alternatives, but this seems simple and straight-forward to me.

GOOD LUCK!

Notice how the cam in the link is connected with four different types of screws? Awesome, that is exactly how I build things!

LOL! Look closer. You'll see a lot more than four different types of screw in this project. Not to mention the bolt for a shaft or the nuts for spacers.

I would have made more of an effort if it was turning faster than once every 44 minutes.
You got to go with what you've got right!

I don't have a workshop or even a garage so it pleases me if I can put something like this together with string and sticky tape and very little cost.

By the way, I've just added a bit more info on my page about the thermostat.
