**This is my half-finished work-in-progress lady gouldian finch hutch. This is NOT set up for quail. The actual hutch itself is identical to the quail one minus perches, though.

This weekend I wanna put button quail in my bottomest hutch (the one on the floor). The hutch looks identical to the one pictured minus the perches. Best way to prevent flushing injuries? They'll have access to a predator proof pen on days without rain/wind this is just for night time and bad weather days.

You could staple some soft insulation to the ceiling of put some netting about 5cm from the top as long as you make it nice and tight.
Dreading stapling my hutches lolll. Staple guns are so awkward. But seems this is the only way. Thank you.
