How to place shipped eggs for lockdown.

This is my first time hatching Ive been researching a while. However Im not sure how to place my eggs in the incubator, I have shipped eggs and a few have the saddle air cells. Theres movement in them so I want to give them a chance but just not sure how to put them in lockdown.

Generally eggs are placed with the pointy size facing downwards. Do you have a manual or self turning incubator?

I forgot to say that it's for lockdown, I have them in an automatic egg turner pointy end down.jysr bot sure how to put them for lockdown

Some lay them down, some keep them upright. If the air cells are still wobbly or saddle, try upright in cartons.

If the cells are firm and fixed, I lay them down. If they are still loose or rolling, I place them in cut down egg cartons angled so that the air cell is mostly up.
