how to position eggs in the incubator

Should the eggs be sideways or tip/large side up when placed in the incubator?

Are you using a turner?

yes. i have a brinsea ecco 20 with turner.

If you are not using a turner lay them in there on their side. Put an "x" on one side and an "o" on the other That way you know when you turn them. If you are using a turner out them in the turner with the point down or the air cell up. Some eggs are almost round and it's tough to figure out which end goes up. you can candle it and find the air cell.

If you are using a turner you would put the pointed end down in the turner...If you were hand turning them you would place them on their side and leave the big end slightly slanted up...
