So i have a cockerel which I believe is of a good standard to be showed. The problem is, I’m not sure he has the correct temperament for it. I don’t really know how the judges judge them, but I imagine they have to get them out the cages to look at the wings? My cockeral is a huge wimp, but attacks blindly if he thinks he’s in danger. He’ll attack other people if they go near but will run if i get too close to him. If i pick him up he’s very friendly, but gets fidgety if i bring him near other people. Obviously I don’t want him to attack the judges, does anyone have any advice on this? Thanks

The judges are very experienced handlers. I'd bet he'd be fine with them. What you want to do is prep him for cage. Put in a cage and in area where people travel. A mud room for example. He'll be conditioned for confinement and having people walk by him close proximity a lot.

Otherwise the bird will not stand well or refuse handling. You'll get a notation on tag saying "won't show".
