how to start a hatch along

hi i have 1 rooster 9 hens im going to be making a incubator the day after christmas and i have all ways seen on here hatch along things and would like to what is a hatch along and how do i start one

My understanding is that they set for hatching on a fun day. Like due to hatch new year's day or Valentine's or Easter. I'm sure you could suggest a hatch along by saying when you are going to set eggs and give enough notice that people could gather to set with you. I have eggs currently on day 2 that will be due in my deceased father's birthday. Good luck with the incubator and hatch.
