How to stop bleeding?

So I am hatching duck eggs and they were shrink wrapped. I attempted to moisten the membrane (one went great and I was able to get it's beak out so it can breath) the other one didn't go so great. It started bleeding and now I don't know what to do. Is there anything I can do to help this duck or just leave it alone?

Dab a little cold water on the area and if that doesn't help, corn starch

Make sure the blood doesn't go onto the duckling's beak and nostrils.
